“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, for He has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released, that the blind will see, that the oppressed will be set free, and that the time of the Lord’s favor has come.”

Luke 4:18-19 (NLT)

Today is special; why do you ask? CAUSE TODAY IS ANOTHER BLOG POST DAY!!! I know, every time it’s your favorite day ever. I’m just kidding, but I’m so excited for today’s blog post! I’m currently writing this from the one spot I can find good wifi at training camp in Gainesville, Georgia. But literally tomorrow I will be flying out to Jamaica!! God has already done so much in my life just through the couple of weeks I’ve been in Georgia, so I’m thrilled to see everything that He is going to do in not only Jamaica, but the other countries too! Until Jamaica, I would love to discuss some of what God has done since I decided to not quit and fully surrender everything to serve on missions for 9 months! So let’s talk about that!

If I wrote about everything that God has done in and through me from these last couple of weeks, nobody would want to read this because it would be sooooooooooooooo long. Which, if He has already done that much just here at training camp, domestic, and debrief, I already know that whatever God has for my squad and me in other countries is going to be insane. None of us are going to come back the same. So even though I sadly cannot go into everything that God has done here in Georgia, I’m not going to leave you guys with nothing either. Last time the blog heard from me, I talked about how I was ready to drop everything and quit. Thankfully God stepped in, and I’ve decided to keep going. The longer that I’m here, the more glad I am that I chose to stay.

The biggest thing that God is speaking over me lately is that it is safe to lean on Him and others. It is safe for me to open up about what’s good and bad. I’ve constantly been lovingly called out on how it’s obvious how much I hold back when it comes time for sharing. They’re right; the majority of the time, I have things to say, but I just don’t want to share those thoughts due to fear of people not taking them seriously or just using my words to turn people against me. The biggest thing I could use prayer for is to open my heart to not only others, but most of all God. I know that it won’t be easy, but once I start, I believe God has many blessings on the other side. I believe, though, that this is the first step. Acknowledging it. From here I just need to seek God and learn how to truly walk in His freedom. YAYYY!!

Although I still have some walls I’m working on breaking down, this squad is beginning to look more and more like family. I know everybody’s names, and I already can’t wait to know them all on a deeper level. God has given each of us different gifts and talents, and those things are going to play such an important role in whatever God is doing in these countries that we’ll be loving and serving in. Whether we are opening up about the hard times or staying up late playing random games and laughing, we will live as the body of Christ and be united as one. Pray that our squad can represent Christ well. May He get the glory!!

To close this, I wanna talk about the Bible verse I picked from above. I picked that verse because that is how I envision Jamaica being. The Spirit of the Lord is with us!! Through testifying His name, we will get to be a part of something that is so much bigger than ourselves, and that is the move of God. I am genuinely so excited to see what the Lord has for the squad and me in Jamaica. The enemy cannot steal the joy God has given me cause we’re about to steal some souls from hell!! Breakthroughs will happen, and true freedom from Jesus will be found!! Hallelujah!! Thank you for taking a minute to read this. Farewell, America; I will see you again in 8 months. For now, IT IS TIME TO GO TO THE NATIONS!!!

With Much Love,

Kielynn :)
